A man who pleaded no contest to having sex with a dead deer is in the news again. This time, for allegedly pushing a Hermantown police officer to the ground.
The Hermantown Police confirmed that 25-year-old Bryan James Hathaway was also involved in that case.
Hathaway appeared in court on Wednesday. Hermantown Police said Hathaway got into a scuffle with Hermantown Officer Kody Vedder on Monday. Vedder was off-duty at the time when she witnessed Hathaway allegedly in the process of prowling vehicles in the Hermantown Walmart store.
Vedder approached Hathaway, introduced herself as an officer and told him to stop. That's when Hathaway allegedly shoved Vedder.
Hathaway's crime involving the deer happened in Superior in 2006.
