Donations are coming in from across the country to help the flood victims and Saturday night a Duluth church got a truck load of goods.
East Duluth Church of Christ said last night the Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Fund dropped off $84,000 in supplies. This includes food, water, and cleaning supplies, as well as rakes and shovels, all the things people may not even know they need.
"A lot of people don't think about the fact that okay we've had flooding. Their septic tank has now contaminated their well. They can't drink their well so we have five thousand bottles of water to give away," said Ron Gerst, emergency coordinator for the East Duluth Church of Christ.
The church plans to hand out these donations all over the northland, not just Duluth. They say they will work with the Red Cross to make sure they don't duplicate services. If you would like to take advantage of these donations, please call one of the following numbers to find out where and when we will be available.
