Swedish Soccer Players Arrive in Duluth

15- and 16-year-old Swedish soccer players arrived in Duluth on Saturday night through the Duluth-Växjö Soccer Exchange program. Now in the program's 14th year, the program offers Swedish and American teenagers to explore foreign countries and learn about new cultures through soccer.
On Friday, June 29th there will be an opening ceremony for the Sister City Soccer Cup, a 3-day tournament where the Swedish team and Duluth team will compete against each other.
Next summer, the current 15-year-old Duluth soccer team will travel to Sweden to stay with a host family there.
