WHY SHE WAS NOMINATED:
Mrs. Dahl makes every child feel important. She gets to know each student personally and works at different levels to allow them to excel. She accepts each child for who they are. Mrs. Dahl does not allow teasing in her classroom and has taken a stand with parents and kids to make sure that each child is treated fairly. No child is left behind in Mrs. Dahl's classroom. Each student is given the confidence in themselves and in their abilities.

| What is your most memorable moment as an Educator? |
|
"I don't think I can narrow it down to any one moment...there are just too many to mention. In 13 years, I have taught in four different schools in our district and in four different grade levels. I have had the opportunity to work with so many wonderful children, families and co-workers. I just have a lot of great memories! Teaching first graders to read is always so rewarding, as is helping fourth graders learn their multiplication facts. That's the great thing about teaching...every day is memorable!" |

| If you weren't an educator what would you be? |

"I honestly can't imagine doing anything else...it's what I've always wanted to do. As a child, "playing school" was always my favorite thing to do, and of course, I was the teacher!" |
| What do you do during summer vacation? |

"I spend every minute with my children! As a family, we enjoy spending time at the cabin and I like to catch up on my scrapbooks!" |
