Sheriff Warns of Wolf Attacks in Grand Marais

The Cook County Sheriff is warning the public about recent incidents of wolves attacking dogs and approaching people on the north side of Grand Marais.

Sheriff Leif Lunde said in a statement Thursday that there have been several recent incidents stretching from Birchwood Apartments to Gofer Trailer Court.  Lunde asked residents not to let their pets run loose.

People who encounter a potentially dangerous animal are asked to call the sheriff's office at 218-387-3030.
