LOS ANGELES (AP) - "Modern Family" has done it again, winning the Emmy Award for best comedy series.
It's the fifth year in a row the hit ABC series has bagged the big prize, tying a record winning streak set by "Frasier."
Rivals were "The Big Bang Theory," "Louie," "Orange Is the New Black," "Silicon Valley" and "Veep."
Cranston wins Emmy as best actor in drama
Bryan Cranston, the memorable meth kingpin Walter White on "Breaking Bad," is the winner of his fourth Emmy Award for best actor in a drama.
Cranston previously won the Emmy in 2008, 2009 and 2010 and won a Golden Globe as best dramatic actor earlier this year. It was his last chance for a major award for the role since the series aired its finale nearly a year ago.
But Emmy voters had a long memory, particularly for the last episode as White met his maker.
Cranston beat the reigning Oscar winner for best actor, Matthew McConaughey, nominated in this category for his role in "True Detective."
'Breaking Bad' wins Emmy as best drama series
Nearly a year after wrapping up, the AMC drama "Breaking Bad" has another nice going-away present. It is the winner of the Emmy Award for best drama series.
It was the second straight win in the category for the dark tale of chemistry-teacher-turned-meth-kingpin Walter White, who was played by Bryan Cranston. The show also won the Golden Globe for best drama last winter.
The series finale aired nearly a year ago, on Sept. 29, 2013.
"Breaking Bad" was nominated for best drama in 2012, 2010 and 2009 before ending with the two-year winning streak.

Beargrease 2015: Crossing the Finish Line
For first-time mushers and veterans, there's just something about crossing that Beargrease finish line. Erin Altemus, who took fourth place in the marathon, said it's the same for the dogs. "There is a psychological thing about that," she said. "They sort of understand that they're at the end."
