Downtown Duluth welcomed a new neighbor on Wednesday as Lake Superior College officially moved its manufacturing training program to Second Avenue West.

The recently-remodeled facility is nearly 34,000 square feet. It houses instructional labs and classrooms as well as a fabrication lab. That lab includes 3-d printing which is open to community partners like area manufacturers and high schools.

Fall semester welding, machining, and computer aided design classes start on Monday.

More than 100 students are expected to attend.
