Art in Bayfront Park kicks off this Saturday, August 16 and goes through Sunday, August 17. The fair starts at 10 a.m. and goes until 6 p.m. Saturday (5 p.m. Sunday).

We had volunteer Liz Johnson and artist Joel Cherrico on the show to give a preview of the pieces folks will see over the weekend.

Joel is a talented pottery artist who works mainly by pottery wheel. He makes his living creating works of art that are also functional for daily use.

Check out Joel's website and full range of pieces here.

The Art in Bayfront Park Art Fair is a free, two-day fine art festival showcasing over 180 gallery quality artists and entertainers from across the United States.

Its mission is to enrich lives through art by providing meaningful and rewarding art experiences to the Northland community for a fun filled weekend of art appreciation.

Art in Bayfront aims to support the community by donating $500 for art supplies to each local Duluth high school, depending on the amount of volunteers they recruit.
