Douglas County Deputy Saves Two 12-Year-Old Girls In Water

A Douglas County Sheriff's deputy helped save two 12-year-old girls whose kayaks tipped over.

Deputy Steve Olson was patrolling the Minong Flowage on a jet ski Saturday when he noticed something floating far away. Through binoculars, he saw it was two girls.

When he approached them, both girls appeared exhausted and asked for help. According to the report, he brought the girls to shore and towed one of the kayaks in.
