Hundreds packed Skyline Lanes on Thursday night to celebrate the life of a Hermantown businessman.

Kent Christianson passed away Monday after complications from a double lung transplant he needed because a severe infection damaged his lungs.

But his friends turned the benefit into a celebration of life, for the man who really lived.

"I think everyone is just really humbled," Dan Boese, a friend of Christianson, said. "The family is extremely humbled at how much outpouring support there's been. What a great guy he was, and just with the number of people that are around, and the things that have been donated... it's a true testament to the true man that he was."

Kent used to own Fastline Grafix in Hermantown, and donated his time and talents to many charity events over the years, including the ALS Fishing Tournament and the Blizzard Tour.

He leaves behind countless friends and a 14-year old son.
