Within the city of Hibbing, there's more than $50 million dollars worth of economic development going on this year. And to promote that, the city and Chamber of Commerce developed a campaign called "Good to Grow."

10 different businesses are being featured in this campaign.

"They're not all of the projects going on, by all means. But they are a good representation of the fabric of our community," Lory Fedo said. She's the Chamber President.

Here's a list of the projects:

  1. Hampton Inn
  2. Marshview Meadows (apartments and housing development)
  3. Range Regional Airport terminal project
  4. Detroit Diesel
  5. Miracle League of the Iron Range
  6. Carey Lake Regional Park and Campground
  7. Delta Reservation Center remodel
  8. Living Stones Network Project (new stores/apartments downtown)
  9. Cast Corporation
  10. Lee's Central Campus

Mike Egan, chair of the Hibbing Economic Development Authority, said that all of the projects have started. We checked out the progress of a few on Wednesday. The Miracle League is finished up, and there was a big celebration in early July with the Minnesota Twins.

"Our goal is to attract industry, attract business retail. We want to bring more people into Hibbing, and utilize what we have to offer," Egan said.

Fedo said the campaign will include traveling display boards about each project, which will be rotated around the public places in Hibbing.
