Two Children Escape Rural Duluth Blaze, Home a Complete Loss

Fire crews responded to a fully engulfed home in rural Duluth on Tuesday afternoon.

The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office says that two juveniles were inside the Fredenberg home when they arrived around 3:30 p.m. Both were able to escape uninjured.

According to a release from the sheriff's office, the home at 6579 Island Lake Dam Rd. is thought to be a complete loss.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the State Fire Marshall's Office and the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office.
