Web Extra: Thome, Morris Talk Twins, All-Star Game

Eyewitess Sports Director Dan Williamson had an opportunity to speak with former Twins Jim Thome and Jack Morris at their batting practice at FanFest for the Legends & Celebrity All-Star Game, which was played at Target Field on Sunday night and will be televised on ESPN on Monday, follwing the Home Run Derby.

Thome is a five-time All-Star and played for the Twins from 2010-2011 and hit his milestone 600th Career Home Run as a member of the Twins.

Morris is a five-time All-Star and grew up in St. Paul. He started the 1985 All-Star Game on the mound at the Metrodome and in his one season with the Twins in 1991, he helped lead them to a World Series Title with his legendary performance in Gamd 7 against the Atlanta Braves. Morris was named the World Series MVP.

Jim Thome played for the Twins from 2010 to 2011.

    Work crews are taking down one of the oldest towers on Duluth's Observation Hill and began to lower heavy pieces of steel on Tuesday.

  • Cell Tower Permit for Chester Park Tabled Again

    Duluth's Planning Commissioners voted 3-3 to table a special request permit Tuesday that would allow for a Sprint cell phone monopole tower near the old ski jump in Chester Park.
