Taste of Greece

We had Father Timothy Sas on the show today to talk all things Greece! He also brought us some tasty treats for a little preview of what's the come over the weekend.

The 12 Holy Apostles parish in Duluth hosts the annual Taste of Greece Festival each year to honor founders who came from various areas of Greece. Each July, they spend one weekend celebrating the Orthodox Christian faith and the vibrant Greek culture.

This free admission event features live Greek music from the Levenders, Greek dancing, a market place, and boutique. 

Enjoy a various of food items, including lamb, souvlaki, Athenian chicken, gyros, spanakopita, pastichio, dolmades, Greek pastries, and much more.

If you're short on time, you can visit the Taste of Greece Express outside to grab some of their select food items to go. 

Taste of Greece is going on Saturday and Sunday, July 12 and 13. Saturday's festival goes from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Sunday's is from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

    The Duluth Police Department is asking for the public's help in finding two children who have been reported missing and are believed to be with a noncustodial parent. Police say the mother is 20-year-old Tameicia Morris, who is described as an African American woman, who is 5 feet 4 inches tall, and weighs 135 pounds. Morris allegedly took the children, 7-month-old Shaniya Chism and 2-year-old Jameicia Chapman, for a visit against a court order and has not returned them home.
