Our sister station, KSTP, reports that six people are injured after a three-vehicle crash Saturday morning near Forest Lake.
The crash happened about 10:13 a.m. at Highway 97 and Healy Avenue.
The car that 21-year-old Taylor Lafferty of Forest Lake was in was stopped on Highway 97 facing eastbound, preparing to make a left turn onto Healy Avenue when it was rear-ended by a van driven by Robbin Elman, 50, of Osceola, Wisconsin.
The force of the crash pushed Lafferty’s car into an oncoming lane of traffic. It collided head-on with a third vehicle, driven by 27-year-old Karlind Moller of Shoreview.
Elman, along with Moller and his wife, Susan Moller, 72, who was a passenger in his vehicle, sustained serious injuries.
Lafferty, and a 15 year-old boy and 8 year-old girl who were riding in Elman’s van sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
One other person was listed as involved with the crash but had no apparent injuries. No age or city was released.
The State Patrol listed just one other person as involved in the crash, but gave no other information about that person. No drivers were listed for the two other vehicles.
Multiple agencies responded to the crash scene.
