Brainerd Motorcyclist Killed in Crash

A Brainerd man died after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a van Monday.

The crash happened on Highway 210 in Brainerd just after 2:30 p.m.  The Minnesota State Patrol says the eastbound motorcycle collided with a westbound van that was making a left turn at 3rd Street NW.

The motorcyclist, 30-year-old John D. Helstrom, was pronounced dead at a Twin Cities hospital.

The driver of the van was not injured.
