The Hermantown Hawks will face a familiar foe in Kasson-Mantorville in the State AA Quarterfinals.

These teams played each other in the state semifinals last year with the Komets advancing.

This time around, it will be in the quarterfinals and Kasson-Mantorville happens to be undefeated.

"Our defense is really solid right now and we made lots of great plays against Pequot (Lakes) in the section final game and I just hope that we can carry that out," says sophomore pitcher Kylie Hoff.

"We can't give away runs and we got to make teams earn it and hopefully, you can get a big hit somewhere along the line yourself," says Head Coach Tom Bang.

Hermantown collides with Kasson-Mantorville on Thursday at 1 p.m. in North Mankato in the State AA Quarterfinals.
