A central Minnesota man has been sentenced to more than eight years in prison after pleading guilty to a criminal sexual conduct charge, according to a news release sent by the Cass County Attorney's Office Tuesday.

According to prosecutors, a complaint says Darren Joseph Sayers, a 45-year-old from Walker, engaged in sexual intercourse with a female who was physically helpless last September.

Sayers is subject to predatory registration and conditional release when discharged from prison, prosecutors said.
