The Sauyatugvik Contemporary Music Festival runs from April 9th-12th, both at UMD and the grounds of the Glensheen Mansion.

Two graduate student performers from UMD dropped by to talk with us about it. Will Bradle and Matt Bronson joined us. They'll be performing at both Friday and Saturday's performances.

On Friday, the UMD percussion ensemble, faculty artists and a piano/percussion duo will present Sauyatugvik: The Works of John Luther Adams. Admission is $10 for adults. The music starts at 7:30 p.m. at UMD's Weber Music Hall.

On Saturday, a collection of faculty and students from UMD, along with 7 other universities will perform Inuksuit, John Luther Adams' new, grand piece. You can take a listen, and take in the experience at the ground of the Glensheen Mansion on Saturday at noon.
