Deer River Man Pleads Guilty to Stabbing

A Deer River man accused in a stabbing admitted to his role in the crime Tuesday morning.

The Itasca County Attorney's Office says 31-year-old Dana Middleton pleaded guilty to two counts of assault. 

A criminal complaint says the incident happened on Canal Street in Grand Rapids late last month. 

The victim survived his injuries. 

A plea agreement calls for a prison sentence of a little more than 4 years.
