A new piece of equipment St. Louis County is using to clear sidewalks took a bit of a tumble Friday with an operator inside.

Photos sent in by Linda Ayers show the snow removal machine on its side on the edge of Haines Road near Skyline Parkway in Duluth.

County Communications Manager Dana Kazel tells us the machine rolled when the it hit a patch of ice and began sliding down the hill toward some rocks.

She said the damage appears to be minimal, and that a tow company was called to the scene to help. The driver was not hurt.

Eyewitness News first told you about the new snow removal machine earlier this month. County workers said the $118,000 tractor clears snow as fast as an entire crew without blocking traffic.
