WASHINGTON (AP) - The ladies of ABC's "The View" are getting a special guest next Tuesday: Vice President Joe Biden.

The vice president's office says he'll appear on the daytime talk show to encourage people to sign up under the government's new health insurance program.

The White House has a lot of work ahead to reach its unofficial goal of getting 7 million people to sign up by the end of March.

Nearly 3.3 million people signed up between Oct. 1 and Feb. 1.

"The View" airs at 10 a.m. on WDIO/WIRT.

Biden also is appearing on Monday's premiere of NBC's "Late Night" with Seth Meyers as the program's new host.
