Trial Electronic Parking Pay Stations Go Live in Downtown Duluth

Created: 02/06/2014 9:03 AM WDIO.com

Parking pay stations have been installed and are ready to use on the 300 block of West Superior Street in downtown Duluth. They're being tested during a parking trial that will last for the next four months, according to City Parking Manager Matthew Kennedy.

Drivers can use one dollar bills, coins, and debit or credit cards to pay at the new meters. The cost will remain the same as the typical meters - 20 minutes per quarter you pay.

Three separate stations exist for the block, rather than one meter per parking spot. Drivers will need to remember a parking space number and enter it into the parking pay station before paying.
