Fat (tire) vs Skinny (ski) Race at Boulder Lake Ski Area

Northlanders have the chance to join in on a new kind of sporting event, and Tim Hagley and Lucas Kramer, the directors of this new race, joined us on the show!

The Fat vs Skinny Race pits fat tire mountain bikers against cross country skiers at the Boulder Lake Ski Area!

You can still register online before Saturday, January 11th, or in person on Saturday if you arrive around 9:30 AM.  The race itself starts at 11:00 Saturday morning.

It all takes place at the warming shack at the Boulder Lake Ski Area.

    Deputies say there were no injuries in an early morning structure fire in Esko Thursday. Crews responded to the 200 block of Nelson Road around 4:30 a.m. Deputies said the cause of the fire was not suspicious.

    An Aitkin County man is in custody and another person is dead after a two-vehicle head-on collision in Cass County.
