Bentleyville Extends Season

The Bentleyville Tour of Lights display in Duluth's Bayfront Park has extended its season after weather closed the event on three nights this month.

Organizers announced Monday that the event will continue through Saturday, Jan. 4, one week later than originally scheduled.  Organizers say they received many requests to stay open longer after heavy snow forced Bentleyville to close twice during the first week of the month and extreme cold forced another closure the following week.

A fireworks show has been moved to Jan. 4 at 6 p.m.

Visitors will be able to continue dropping off donations of nonperishable food items and new unwrapped toys for the Salvation Army at Bentleyville through Jan. 4.  More information is available at bentleyvilleusa.org.

  • Victim Identified in Fatal Cass County Crash

    The Minnesota State Patrol said one person was killed and two others seriously injured in a three-vehicle accident in Cass County. The accident happened on Highway 64 just before 2 p.m. on Saturday.

  • I-35 Lanes Reduced Starting Monday Near Cloquet for Bridge Repair

    Traffic may be moving slower than normal travelling south on Interstate 35 near Cloquet starting Monday. MnDOT says a stretch from County Rd. 3 to Highway 33 will be reduced to a single lane for about two weeks.
