Duluth city councilors have passed measures allowing for the cleanup of two creeks following 2012 flooding.

At their meeting Monday evening, councilors approved contracts with Veit and Sunram Construction to remove debris and stabilize the banks of Mission Creek and Kingsbury Creek. The total cost is about $860,000.

Councilors also voted in favor of applying for a $1,000,000 Legacy grant to pay for improvements at Chambers Grove Park.
