Nursing students from area colleges gathered at Saint Luke's Auditorium on September 16th.
The students were present to hear Linda MacIntyre, the Chief Nurse of the American Red Cross speak about connecting the community together.
"The Red Cross is helping nurses help other people get connected," said MacIntyre. This, in turn, will build community resilience.
MacIntyre says there is a number of ways that you can get involved with the Red Cross. There is even an app you can download onto your smartphone to find opportunities close to you.
