Nikki Kaul dropped by the show this morning to talk about the Bob Brenning Bike Ride for Peace, happening Sunday, September 15th at 1:00 PM.
The Bike Ride is meant to bring the community together, promote a peaceful community, and raise money for the Men as Peacemakers organization. The goal of the Men as Peacemakers organization is to foster and develop the next generation of peace makers through modeling, mentoring, storytelling and dialogue. They help children develop the positive values, family structure and role models that they need to grow up healthy.
The Bike Ride itself will start Sunday. At noon, registration will be held at Fitger's Brewery Complex. It is not a race, and it is family friendly. The race begins at 1:00 PM, riders will go to the end of Park Point, and then return to Fitger's.
There will be prize drawings for bikes and other prizes along with food when riders return. All entrance fees and donations will be matched by a private grant up to $5,000. Admission is $15 for students, $35 for adults, $40 for a family of any size. Register online and save $5.
