The Rotary Club kicks off their 28th annual Rose Sale on August 29th.

The Rose Sale fundraiser provides grants and scholarships for the Twin Ports community, and to date has generated $1.1 million for that purpose.

They also donate money to support community capital projects such as lighting the Aerial Lift Bridge, the Duluth Depot and Enger Tower. 2012 flood relief was also a project they donated to, as well as the Azalea Garden, and support for local charities like CHUM, the Damiano Center and Kid's Closet among others.

Rose orders can be made to Rotary members, by calling 218-348-7673, or you can go to their website.

Roses can be picked up Friday, October 11th and Saturday the 12th at locations such as Super One Foods, Mount Royal Fine Foods, Peterson Anderson, and Engwall Florists among others.

Club 25 places a strong emphasis on making financial contributions to benefit at-risk children and families.
