  • Circle of Native Nations Pow Wow Celebrates Winter's End

    The 25th annual Circle of Nations pow wow took place at the UWS First Nations Center on Saturday. The center's director calls it a celebration of life, especially after the long winter.

  • Lake Superior Zoo Hosts Easter Eggstravaganza

    Families participated in games, activities and a giant Easter egg hunt at the Lake Superior Zoo on Saturday. The event went from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with Easter-themed animal encounters every half hour.

  • Fitger's 5K Raises $20K For Young Athletes

    It may not have felt much like spring today, but thousands signed-up to voluntarily run outside. It was the 25th Annual Fitger's 5K this morning and that means racing season in the Northland has officially started. This year, the race raised $20,000 for the Young Athletes Foundation.

  • 1 Killed, 2 Injured in Cass County Crash

    The Minnesota State Patrol said one person was killed and two others seriously injured in a three-vehicle accident in Cass County. The accident happened on Highway 64 just before 2 p.m. on Saturday.

  • 1 Killed in Pine County Rollover

    The Minnesota State Patrol said one person was killed in a rollover in Pine County on Saturday evening. It happened on Highway 18 and County Road 36, according to troopers.
