Superior Police are investigating a string of commercial burglaries and attempted burglaries to the local ICO convenience stores.
ICO Corporation is offering $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the people or person involved.
Over the past two weeks the Superior Police Department has responded to four burglary alarm calls between the ICO convenience stores located at 2704 N.21st St. (Billings Park) and 5926 Tower Ave. (South Superior).
The first incident was during the early morning hours of July 3rd at the Billings Park store. A large quantity of cigarettes was taken in that burglary.
The second incident took place two days later on July 5th at the South Superior store, again during the early morning hours. A quantity of cigarettes was also taken in that incident.
On July 9th and July 13th squads responded to the Billings Park location only to find a smashed glass front door to the business but determined no entry was made.
The total loss to date is approx. $2,500 worth of cigarettes and over $5,500 in damage.
The Superior Police Department has had a great working relationship with the ICO Corporation and recognizes the many different donations, sponsorships and other community involvement they have been a part of over the years.
The Department is disappointed when any business or residence becomes a victim of such crimes and we are seeking the public’s assistance in catching the parties involved in these incidents.
