Twins, Brewers Send Two Each To All-Star Game

Twins catcher Joe Mauer has been named an American League All-Star for the sixth time in his career. He will be the starting catcher for the AL squad. Closing pitcher Glen Perkins was also picked for the American League team. This will be his first All-Star game appearance.

Two Brewers players are also first time All Stars. Outfielder Carlos Gomez and shortstop Jean Segura will represent Milwaukee as part of the National League reserve roster.

The MLB All-Star Game will be played Tuesday, July 16th at Citi Field in New York City.
