A man has surrendered to police after barricading himself inside a residence in Fort Frances, Ontario.
At about 5 a.m. on Saturday, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a disturbance at the residence, located on the 1000 block of First Street in Fort Frances. When they arrived, a man barricaded himself inside.
Ontario Provincial Police Sgt. Rob McDonough says the man was armed with a long gun. He was arrested without incident at about 7 p.m., according to Sgt. McDonough.
The OPP Northwest Region Emergency Response Team and the Fort Frances Crime Unit assisted with the investigation.
