The 4th of July is quickly approaching and there's a lot of fun ways to celebrate our independence. One great way to celebrate this year is with a Folk Music Fest sponsored by Midi Restaurant at the Fitger's complex in Duluth.
Bill and Kate Isles are a folk signing duo with plenty of soul and heart. They stopped by Good Morning Northland Monday to talk about the Folk Music Fest and their free Thursday concerts throughout the summer.
Bill and Kate kick off their free Thursday shows with a Folk Music Fest. Is starts this Thursday, July 4, and runs through Saturday, July 6. The fest will run from 5 - 9 p.m. each of those nights.
The three day musical celebration is sponsored by Midi Restaurant and happens in the Fitger's Courtyard in Duluth. Bill says it's a great place for any Duluth evening and an especially great spot to enjoy your Independence Day fireworks.
The Folk Music Fest will feature the music of Bill and Kate Isles along with The Flying A's out of Austin, Texas.
Not only will the fest have great music, it's also a chance to enjoy a delicious pig roast, tiki bar and, of course, fireworks.
Bill and Kate perform free shows every Thursday nights in the courtyard. The entertainment includes other special guests featuring music, comedy, local lore and more.
