MADISON, Wis. (AP) - Forecasters say Wisconsin is in for another round of severe thunderstorms overnight.

A line of storms raced across the state early Friday morning, dumping heavy rain and causing power outages. The National Weather Service reports Viroqua received 3.75 inches, La Crosse got 1.52 inches and Milwaukee got .75 inches. Wind gusts reached 58 mph in Boscobel.

Xcel Energy officials say the storms cut power to 20,000 customers on the northwestern side of the state. Alliant Energy officials say lightning struck a power pole in Janesville, leaving 700 without power.

Wisconsin emergency officials say they haven't received any reports of injuries or major damage.

The forecast calls for another round of storms to roll through the state Friday night into Saturday morning. They could pack winds of up to 60 mph.
