Learning is getting hands-on at Duluth's Lake Superior College as teens get a feel for jobs in the manufacturing industry.

About ten students are building robots during a free summer program. Instructor Max Udovich said it's been around for about five years. He said not only does it get students interested in manufacturing and shows them how it's done, but teaches them how to work as a team.

"Really it's teaching students to work in teams to get a job done using some skills in electronics, maybe learning some manual machining or fabrication, you know assembly," Udovich said.

The class runs through Thursday.

Udovich said there is room in another class scheduled to begin Monday, June 17. To register contact Ed Wrazidlo at e.wrazidlo@lsc.edu or call 218-464-3710.
