Thinking of a good idea for a play can be hard for many playwrights. But what if they only had just 24 hours to write one from an idea that was pulled out of a hat?
Well that is what the writers, directors and performers in the Rubber Chicken Theater company are doing on Saturday night. Lawrance Bernabo from Rubber Chicken Theater stopped by Good Morning Northland to talk about the event.
The night before, Bernabo said, writers pull a who, what and a where out of a hat. They then have just 12 hours to write a sketch. Then performers and directors will act eight of them out on Saturday night.
One of those performers will be Good Morning Northland anchor Brittany Falkers. She will be this year's "common cameo." Bernabo said she will be in each of the eight sketches at least once.
The Chicken Hat Plays will be performed Saturday night at 7 p.m. It takes place at the Harbor City International School in Downtown Duluth. Tickets are $10.
