Eyewitness News has obtained the 911 call from the logging industry worker reporting the Germann Road Fire on Tuesday, May 14, at 2:46 p.m.
The worker called while his co-worker tried to put out the flames, according to the Wisconsin DNR.
Caller: There is a forest fire in Douglas County straight west of, or straight east of Gordon approximately 10 miles on County Highway Y.
Dispatcher: You said it is a forest fire? Are there any structures in the way?
Caller: No, but it is taking off fast.
Dispatcher: How big are you estimating it is right now?
Caller: It is, I come around the corner and it was small, and now it is big.
The DNR said negligence wasn't involved in the blaze and no charges will be filed.
Second Duluth School Sale Falls Through
