Finding Fish on Opener

Minnesota's fishing opener is this weekend and finding the fish isn't always the easiest thing. But, fishing guide Charlie Nelson says technology and trial and error can make it easier.

"I would do some exploring with stick bait. I would cover an area that I like to fish and they might be holding on in one particular end of an area and therefore, I can troll it and use my electronics to find it on a graph and then, stop there and switch out back to a jig and a minnow and jig on top of them and it only takes one to spill the beans and eventually, they are going to tell you what they want, so you just have to pay attention to the small details," says Nelson.
