Martin Luther Edges Northland

Duluth, Minn. - Dan Romano went 7.1 innings and allowed just nine hits and three runs (one earned run) for Northland, but Martin Luther advances with a 5-2 win in the UMAC play-in game.

Northland started the scoring with an RBI from Mitch Howard in the second inning. Matt Lennon also had an RBI for the Lumberjacks. But, Martin Luther would get two runs in the third inning, one in the fourth and two more in the ninth. Tyler Dorn was 2-5 and drove in two runs for the Knights.

Martin Luther will face top seeded St. Scholastica in the first round of the UMAC Tournament on Friday at 1:00 pm at Wade Stadium in Duluth.
