Minnesota's Fishing Opener is this weekend and while the weather has affected spawning, fishing guide Charlie Nelson says the walleye are out there.

"(At the) St. Louis River, temps are still really cold for spawning. We might be getting there right about now and this week will definitely help. Some of the lakes that have opened up and are warmer, you can probably find walleyes jigging, running jigs and minnows around small stream mouths and creek mouths and on the first gravel bars right off of those and there will be walleyes biting," says Nelson.
