A sixth place finish at the Boston Marathon is ordinarily something to celebrate, but like so many following the finish line bombings, Duluth-native Kara Goucher isn't celebrating.
Goucher spoke with running website FloTrack Monday following the explosions. She said "Everyone is just like hugging and everyone is just on the verge of tears, you know. Everyone just feels so awful. But runners are just, they're good. They'll get on and move on, but it's just really sad."
"I've never seen anything like it before in my life. I still think I'm a little bit in shock. I'm very grateful to be safe, but it's just your worst - it is just horrible. There are a lot of people suffering right now and it seems so frivolous to be talking about the race," Goucher said.
