A pioneer in Superior's sky diving community has died at the age of 72.
Beverly Androsky-Baker, of Superior, was the co-founder of a business called Superior Skydivers. She was instrumental as a female pioneer in a daredevil activity.
Among a long list of accomplishments, Beverly was a member of the U.S. Parachute Association for 45 years, and in the early 1960s became the first woman ever to do a sport parachuting jump in Canada.
Beverly's son, Gary, said she died Monday after an illness.
