Former Treasurer Pleads No Contest to Theft Charges

The former treasurer of a small northern Wisconsin town has pleaded no contest to ten theft charges against her.
Charlene Murdock worked for the Town of Lenroot until resigning in December of 2011.
She also worked for a company called Bender Machine Works, which alleged she took nearly $300,000 for personal use.
The alleged theft happened between 2007 and 2011.
Sentencing is set for the end of May.
