Grand Rapids Shooter Sentenced

On Thursday, William Levi Payne, aged 26, was sentenced for a double shooting that occurred in December.
According to court administration Payne was sentenced to 52.5 years in prison, but could be released on parole after serving 35 years.
Back on December 22nd, Payne entered the home of Rosemary Oberg-Johnson and her son, Paul Johnson. He now admits to shooting both of them. Rosemary died from her injuries. Paul has been recovering.
Payne had been following his estranged wife, who had gone to the Johnson home. He also kidnapped her at gunpoint, and threatened her as well.
