Meals Prepped for Thanksgiving in the Spring

It's not November and it's definitely not Thanksgiving, but students at Duluth's College of St. Scholastica are using this February evening to make up some hearty Thanksgiving meals for the needy.
It's prep time for the school's community day, which happens on Wednesday. CSS's Operation Manager Jack Teske said there's a real need this time of year.
"At this time of the year, there's a lot of people in the community at the end of February who really don't have a lot of money and a nice hot meal would really be something they'd like," Teske said.
Teske said this event is a spin-off on the college's free Thanksgiving meal they also host in November.
In total, students are preparing 1,800 meals for delivery on Wednesday for both folks who either can't leave their homes and local organizations like the Damiano Center and the CHUM Drop-In Center and the New San Marcos agency.
Dinners include turkey, mashed potatoes, vegetables, rolls and dessert.
