Fugitive Sex Offender Caught in Superior

Superior Police have arrested a fugitive Level 3 Sex Offender from St. Paul.
Shah-Quran Aziz is required to wear a GPS monitoring device affixed to an ankle bracelet. However, police say Aziz removed the bracelet and absconded from his half-way house on Tuesday.
Aziz was arrested in the lobby area of the Clifford Lund Apartments, 914 Tower Ave., at about 6 p.m. Thursday without incident. Officers from the Minnesota Department of Corrections Fugitive Task Force assisted Superior Police officers in the arrest.
Police say Aziz has a long criminal history and was considered a danger to the public.
