A jazz band from Duluth East High School is competing in a national, online competition. If they win, the school will be awarded $10,000 in band equipment and $1,000 more for the music program.
It's put on by the National Educational Music Company and the video contest is called Music is Life. There are only 16 schools competing and Duluth East is the only school competing from Minnesota.
"It's nationwide," drummer Brent Vizanko said. "We're the only school in Minnesota, which is really cool because we are representing Minnesota."
Students were pretty excited about the three minute video they will be competing with.
"It looks pretty cool," Jack Campbell, who plays the electric base, said. "I don't know, it's very silly, but I like it better silly than serious."
The winner of the competition is decided by the people's votes. If you want to show your support, click here to vote.
