Ontario Provincial Police are investigating what led to a woman's death while in police custody.
Lena Anderson, 23, of Kasabonika Lake First Nation died Friday in Kasabonika while in custody of the Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service. NAPS polices 35 First Nations communities across northern and northwestern Ontario.
The OPP said a post-mortem autopsy was conducted Sunday in Kenora, but results of the autopsy were not mentioned in the OPP's press release. Investigators are asking anyone with information pertaining to the investigation to contact their local police service.
