    Authorities are searching for a man who allegedly left his wallet behind after stealing a Duluth church bus and abandoning it in rural Douglas County.  A Four Corners resident told authorities that he arrived home on Friday night to find the stolen bus parked in his driveway, with a man inside asking if he could store it there.

  • Duluth Police Investigate after Man Stabbed in Back

    A 34-year-old man was injured when he was stabbed in the back on Friday afternoon, according to the Duluth Police Department. The incident happened at about 4:51 p.m. in the 2100 block of West Superior Street.

  • Island Lake Levels Low for ALS Walleye Tournament

    Island Lake Reservoir is still struggling to reach average water levels after a dry spell that spanned from September through April. This will lead to some added hazards on the lake as boaters head out for the ALS Walleye Tournament on Saturday.

    The Legislature's budget-writing committee has voted to cut the University of Wisconsin System by $250 million, eliminate tenure in state law, limit shared governance provisions and give UW more flexibility to save money.
